Mike,
Can you give me more information as to what you are trying to do?  Some
changes recently to Kioo, now allow you to share templates between the
server and client side using cljx and enlive.  Not sure it would meet your
use case but may give you a basis to build something upon.  I also know
that Christophe is working on a new library called enliven that has the
"holy grail" as its primary goal.
