I'm using the externs file from here: https://github.com/steida/react-externs/blob/master/externs.js. And I saved it to "react/externs.js" in my project, so I think that's set up correctly, but thanks for the suggestion.
The first time I change the selection from "red" to "blue", I see the exception in chrome inspector.
