i can't help much with your first question. i'm quite certain that it's not an update-state! vs. set-state! thing. it seems like updating local component state in IWillUpdate does work, so i don't know whether that doc needs updating or if that's behavior that is unsupported / anti-pattern. but as to your follow up, this section of the docs for IWillUpdate is definitely accurate: "Not called on the first render, will be called on all subsequent renders" you can see here IWillUpdate is not called on the first render, but is called on subsequent renders (when you click the button): https://www.refheap.com/95623 -- Note that posts from new members are moderated - please be patient with your first post. --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ClojureScript" group.
