I'm using MacPorts but rlwrap and node are on my PATH. I followed the README.md, ie.

cd samples/repl
../../script/repl

(require '[cljs.closure :as cljsc])
(def opts {:output-to "main.js" :output-dir "out"})
(cljsc/build "src" opts)

(require '[cljs.repl :as repl])
(require '[cljs.repl.browser :as browser])
(def env (browser/repl-env))
(repl/repl env)

.... then:

ClojureScript:cljs.user> (.write js/document "Hi")

... which produced 'Hi' in the browser but produced only a carriage return in the terminal instead of returning the repl prompt. Attempts to use up arrow produced only ^[[A^[[A^[[A character sequences.

I should add it's possible I may be overlooking something quite obvious :(

Works with rlwrap for me and others. Can you be more specific about what
you have tried?

Great effort, David. One little improvement - on my Mac OS X
Yosemite machine the 'ClojureScript:cljs.user>' repl does not appear
to support readline unlike the leiningen Clojure repl.
