The problem actually isn't the interop, but the fact that the code will contain a lot of mutations, because of the nature of the Javascript libraries out there. I have tried using a few of the tools, such as CreateJS with Clojurescript, it works, but the code isn't really idiomatic Clojurescript after all.
But still, separating the core logic from the Graphics, Sound and Physics libraries will let you write a big portion of your code in a more functional manner.
