Vital Labs is a San Francisco based, venture backed, digital health startup.
We deliver cutting data acquisition and analytics capabilites to the challenge
of managing chronic disease. Our core product enables us to work directly in
the care delivery process, enabling us to use novel technology to directly
improve outcomes for patients and workload for physicians.

We are passionate users of Clojure and Clojurescript and everyone in our
company contributes to the product today. Our distributed, real-time backend
is entirely written in Clojure and leverages HazelCast, Cassandra and Datomic
for data management, analytics, and API services. Our front-end web and mobile
applications are based on Om-React plus some of our own libraries like
Nativestore + Derive (https://github.com/VitalLabs/nativestore). We contribute
to open source projects and as we scale anticipate spending more time releasing
and curating our internal projects.

We're currently seeking another full stack capable engineer with interest
building end-user experiences to help the healthcare system navigate the
inherent complexities of clinical workflow, data, and decision making. You
would be joining a team of 3 full time clojure developers, two data analytics
engineers, and a highly technical CEO. We are looking for you to play a key
role in building out our user interface framework and product as well as
contributing to our data visualization work and enabling end users to interact
with our machine learning algorithms.

We strongly prefer full-time hires in San Francisco or the larger Bay Area and
are not currently seeking contractors. We have excellent benefits, free
organic lunches made on site, and are located in a highly desirable location in
SOMA near Caltrain and the Metro and a short walk from the UCSF Medical Center
where we are running a key product trial.
