I have an OpenResty (nginx) with HTTP-2 running for local development. Just switched off H2 and DomContentLoaded increased from 2.1s to 3.6s. That's for ~290 js files. The last JS file was done downloading ~1.3s for H2 and 2.4s with HTTP-1.1.
So maybe also give HTTP-2 a closer look.
