Do you know if your USB based LAN adaptor works with ipxe/gpxe?
If so, then it would be easier. Just use it.
If not, you still can boot clonezilla live to do that, but some manually
commands or customization have to be issued from the client sides:
http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-SE/use_clonezilla_live_in_drbl.php
This is the mode we use Clonezilla live in Clonezilla SE mode. In this
case the server side is described on that URL, but the client side
normally it's boot via PXE. After you use dcs to switch mode to
"clonezilla start", from the file /tftpboot/nbi_img/pxelinux.cfg/default
you can find a block about PXE booting Clonezilla live for the multicast
restoring mode (Normally it's in the end of that file). Just borrow that
to your Clonezilla live boot media, say it's a USB stick, put it in the
syslinux/syslinux.cfg. Then you should be able to boot your USB stick
for multicast restoring.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks.
