Sandro!), I'll chime in:
I find that almost everyone who tries to use EC2 doesn't realize that
they need to add port 22 to the default security group in order to be
able to SSH into the instances. I know that I ran into this problem
when I was first using EC2.
$ [ec2,euca]-authorize -p 22 default
--Max
