Fred,
To verify fixes for console proxy, please make sure existing console proxy VM 
be destroyed so that CloudStack can push the patch over from management server. 
I didn't test the fix across broader guest OSes, if you still see problems 
related to it, please feel free to drop your fix in email list and bug system.

I actually like your idea of dropping the fix along with the bug.
