Pranav Saxena commented on CLOUDSTACK-553: ------------------------------------------ Hi Joe , I am extremely sorry for the late reply . So the need to make these fields uneditable was that by default we pass the public network as "untrusted " and private network as "trusted" and the SRX device doesn't work if we change it to something else as the support isn't there right now . Hence the need was to make it uneditable and at the same time let the user know about it that this is what your public/private network type is. The QA's demanded that currently this is what we should be doing and hence I had to raise this ticket . Commit ID link - http://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator-cloudstack/commit/0979e5a0 . Let me know if you have any concerns with this and if I need to take any action on this ticket . I am marking it as Resolved for the time being. > SRX - When adding SRX device make "Public Network" - default to "untrusted" > and "Private Network" - default to "trusted" as un-editable fields. > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CLOUDSTACK-553 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-553 > Project: CloudStack > Issue Type: Bug > Security Level: Public(Anyone can view this level - this is the > default.) > Components: UI > Reporter: Pranav Saxena > Assignee: Pranav Saxena > Fix For: 4.1.0 > > > SRX - When adding SRX device make "Public Network" - default to "untrusted" > and "Private Network" - default to "trusted" as un-editable fields. > After discussing with Willl and Sheng , since it is recommended to set > "Public Network" to "untrusted" and "Private Network" to "trusted" when > adding SRX , we will make these fields default to the recommended value and > show them as un-editable fields in "Add SRX" . -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
