Mike, We use Jira exclusively for tracking. Ideally, people are updating the Jira issues with "In Progress" when they start working on something, as well as providing periodic updates via the comments. This is something I've been asking to see recently, but folks haven't been as consistent as I'd like. It would certainly make release management easier. Jira's really the right tool though. Especially if folks break down their feature into sub-tasks for more accurate work tracking. -chip
