Hi everyone, I am trying to use the CloudStack API to create Primary Storage (the createStoragePool API command).
I have been successful on CloudStack 4.x with a XenServer cluster. I am now trying this on CloudStack 3.0 with a VMware cluster and it is not working. Perhaps someone can answer the following matrix of questions for me? The overall question is the following: Does storage have to be set up from the hypervisor before it can be used by CloudStack for the given CloudStack version and hypervisor? CloudStack 3.0 VMware? XenServer? KVM? CloudStack 4.x VMware? XenServer? KVM? Also, when using iSCSI, I need to provide CHAP info. If your answer above for a given CloudStack version and hypervisor is that I don't have to set it up from the hypervisor before using it with CloudStack, can you say if this is still true if I need to provide CHAP info?
