Parth Jagirdar updated CLOUDSTACK-662:
--------------------------------------

    Attachment: screen-4.jpg

Brian,

I think basic search should be applicable to both Names and Description to make
good use of search feature.

Refer to screen 4 I attached.

My original query was admin (Seen in background).

Now I clicked the down arrow which gave me advance options. But at this point
my basic search box / query is in background.

So we can do one of following::

1) Render advance search options below the basic search; so that it doesnt
overlap and(See the blue box in screen); its clearly visible.

2) If 1 is not possible than have another search field for basic search in
advance pop up and populate it with the search text that user entered. (Green
box in screen).

But in either case basic search should work with advance parameters.

1) That is get serach results for "admin" first.
2) then run advance filters on them and then
3) present user with whats remianing.

Hope this helps.

...Parth

> High level requirement:
> The user will now be able to search for items within CloudStack utilizing
> multiple parameters and also the newly added tags feature.
> Details:
> The user should be able to search with multiple populated fields in the new
> advanced search. Each section will require context specific search fields per
> section. User can also search via only 1 of the tags without need to add the
> second key pair item if they wish.
