Brian Federle commented on CLOUDSTACK-1585: ------------------------------------------- I'll probably work on making sure most views, including all table listings, dashboards and detail views have a refresh button with consistent appearance, that would give the best experience for the user. However, just one comment on a particular issue you mentioned: >> For example, when I destroy a VM, I don't actually see it disappear from the >> table it's in until I click on another tab and then click back to the >> Instances tab. This is actually intentional in the case of the instances tab. When you destroy an instance, you still have the option of restoring it until it goes into Expunging state. Thus, the instance row is left there so you can access the 'Restore' action in case you need it. The row will only be actually invisible once it goes to Expunging state for a normal user, or is permanently deleted from DB as an admin. Let me know if that makes sense. Let me know if any other sections are not showing consistent behavior, since otherwise the other table views should remove the rows. > Enact a consistent use of the "Refresh" button > ---------------------------------------------- > > Key: CLOUDSTACK-1585 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-1585 > Project: CloudStack > Issue Type: Improvement > Security Level: Public(Anyone can view this level - this is the > default.) > Components: UI > Affects Versions: 4.2.0 > Environment: Chrome on Mac OS X 10.8.2 > Reporter: Mike Tutkowski > Assignee: Brian Federle > Priority: Minor > Fix For: 4.2.0 > > > From an e-mail exchange (newer of the two messages is on the top): > Brian Federle brian.fede...@citrix.com via incubator.apache.org > 3:41 PM (21 minutes ago) > to Pranav, cloudstack-dev > Yes, please make a feature request for this. I wonder if we > would benefit from making this consistent across the GUI? For example, when > I destroy a VM, I don't actually see it disappear from the table it's in > until I click on another tab and then click back to the Instances tab. > Thoughts on this?
