I would suggest NFS over iSCSi, for non-I/O intensive VMs, - with it Cloudstack offers thin-provisioning for most hypervisors, which saves you a lot of space - easy to administrate - compared to iSCSi, performance does not downgrade a lot
If you really require I/O intensive application running in VMs, perhaps you need high-end FC-SAN Regards Mice -----Original Message----- From: Vladimir Melnik [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2012 4:31 PM To: [email protected] Subject: iSCSI or NFS Good day! What will you recommend to use as primary storage based on Linux server? iSCSI or NFS? Am I right that NFS will be too slow for keeping VM-images?
