Using WIFI With method 1, I cannot connect localhost:8080/client
With method 2, I get an error as I cannot connect to the mysql server 2012-10-30 16:56:50,951 ERROR [db.Transaction.Transaction] (Thread-587:) Unexpected exception: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. The driver has not received any packets from the server. Remark : I don't think that on my MacBook pro, error of the method 2 is linked to WIFI but due to access issue as unit test fails Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user 'cloud'@'localhost' (using password: YES) at com.mysql.jdbc.SQLError.createSQLException(SQLError.java:1075) at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.checkErrorPacket(MysqlIO.java:3562) at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.checkErrorPacket(MysqlIO.java:3494) at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.checkErrorPacket(MysqlIO.java:920) at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.secureAuth411(MysqlIO.java:4000) at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.doHandshake(MysqlIO.java:1285) at com.mysql.jdbc.ConnectionImpl.createNewIO(ConnectionImpl.java:2186) at com.mysql.jdbc.ConnectionImpl.<init>(ConnectionImpl.java:787) at com.mysql.jdbc.JDBC4Connection.<init>(JDBC4Connection.java:49) Regards Charles On Wed, Oct 31, 2012 at 7:45 PM, Edison Su <[email protected]> wrote: > If you are using master branch, then it's different. > I am confused about which method are you using, and how do you run the > devcloud, which network are you using. > Method 1: If you are following > https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/CloudStack+4.0+test-procedure, > it only works on 4.0 branch, and it uses NAT network. > Method 2: If you are using > https://cwiki.apache.org/CLOUDSTACK/cloudstack-devcloud-environment-setup.html, > it only works on master branch, and it uses Host-Adapter network. > If it's method 2, then mgt server is running on your local machine, > localhost:8080/client should always work. > If it's method 1, mgt server is running inside devcloud vm. > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Charles Moulliard [mailto:[email protected]] > > Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 11:16 AM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: Re: DevCloud VM - Wifi > > > > Can we still use ant rdeploy with "master" code of git repo > > (4.1.0-SNAPSHOT) ? > > > > On Wed, Oct 31, 2012 at 6:47 PM, Edison Su <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > If you can execute "ant rdeploy" on your machine, that means the > > > network works between your local machine and devcloud vm, as "ant > > > rdeploy" will ssh into devcloud vm through port 2222. > > > If localhost:8080/client doesn't work: > > > make sure mgt server is running inside devcloud vm, "telnet > > > localhost 8080" inside your devcloud vm, and also check the log: > > > /opt/cloudstack/incu*/vmops.log > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > > From: Charles Moulliard [mailto:[email protected]] > > > > Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2012 10:22 AM > > > > To: [email protected] > > > > Subject: Re: DevCloud VM - Wifi > > > > > > > > Any idea how to configure WIFI for VB ? > > > > > > > > On Wed, Oct 31, 2012 at 12:44 PM, Gijsbert Janssen van Doorn < > > > > [email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Hi Charles, > > > > > > > > > > The Virtual NIC in virtualbox is probably connected to the LAN > > > > > card of your system. > > > > > > > > > > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > > > > > Van: Charles Moulliard [mailto:[email protected]] > > > > > Verzonden: woensdag 31 oktober 2012 12:40 > > > > > Aan: [email protected] > > > > > Onderwerp: Re: DevCloud VM - Wifi > > > > > > > > > > There is no firewall and setup works fine with ethernet cable > > > connected. > > > > > But not using WIFI. > > > > > > > > > > On Tue, Oct 30, 2012 at 9:32 PM, Ahmad Emneina > > > > > <[email protected] > > > > > >wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > On 10/30/12 9:47 AM, "Charles Moulliard" <[email protected]> > > wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > >Hi, > > > > > > > > > > > > > >I experience strange issue when I start Devcloud VM > > > > > > >(VirtualBox) using a WIFI network - > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/CloudStack+4. > > > > > > 0+ > > > > > > test > > > > > > >+procedure > > > > > > >. > > > > > > > > > > > > > >I cannot access localhost:8080/client from machine running VB > > > > > > >(= MacBook Pro with WIFI access). > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Regards, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >-- > > > > > > >Charles Moulliard > > > > > > >Apache Committer / Sr. Enterprise Architect (RedHat) Twitter : > > > > > > >@cmoulliard | Blog : http://cmoulliard.blogspot.com > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Is your firewall blocking port 8080?
