Jonathan, 

Thinking over the CloudStack as a whole, I'm not sure that would be such a
good idea. Since secondary storage is shared across a zone, and you could
have separate PODs for different hypervisors to create a mixture you
wouldn't be able to utilize VMware template storage for XenServer, KVM, or
OVM. It would become a product specific piece. If you want to have a
single place of storage for the zone, or even share that across zones, you
wouldn't want to rely solely on one hypervisor.
