There is a single sign on key that is used in conduction with a api key and a secret key to transfer the control transparently to the vm console. This is how custom portals can provides seamless access to the vm console. There are several steps required to configure it. This info is specific to cloud portal and we should be documenting it for general use. Check this out if it makes sense.
