As with any other product, I'd start as POC on small scale - configure as 
needed and then promote to prod - once you confirm its stable in *your 
environment*.

It is stable in my non-prod environment ATM, but I'm not using CEPH. As is - 
I'm feel fairly confident if I was to go prod, it would work as expected.

Would Cloudstack 4 be considered usable in a production environment? I looking 
to build a new cloud using CEPH as Primary Storage, so I'm wondering if 
starting with 4 in the next 4 weeks is advisable yet.

This will be a public cloud, so downtime won't be tolerated very well.
