Thomas, To use Advanced Networking you have to use Tagged VLANs.
When a VM is unable to get an IP from its Virtual Router running on a different Host, it is always down to VLANs. Whilst you can create the Public Network as untagged, the Guest Network HAS to be tagged. The problem we are currently facing is that if the VM, starts on a different host is unable to obtain the IP's from the virtual router for the specific n/w. We are using untagged vlans and layer 2 switches. Has anyone else faced the same issues? Is there a way to resolve it? regards, Thomas ShapeBlue provides a range of strategic and technical consulting and implementation services to help IT Service Providers and Enterprises to build a true IaaS compute cloud.
