Dear Suhasini,

Naggle's algorithm is not related to the benchmark. It’s a TCP/IP optimization
that does not work well for this benchmark due to the size of the packets that
are transmitted between the client and the server. So, the default (and in this
case the best) option is to turn it off.

If you look at createConnection() in conn.c, you will see that we intentionally
perform a syscall is to turn the algorithm off. If you set the parameter to
"true", the syscall won’t be performed.

Regarding the load, please take a look at the benchmark webpage
(http://parsa.epfl.ch/cloudsuite/memcached.html) . You can very the load with
the "-r" option.

Regards,
Djordje

Subject: Clarification on Data Caching

Hi Sir/Madam,

I am doing a research project, so i installed data caching and ran it.

So i need a favor from you for following items,
1) Naggles algoritham needed.
2) Is it possible to vary load in data caching? If yes, then how it can be
achieved?

Please help me out from above issues.

Thanks,
Suhasini
