>From my experience, this seems to be either nginx or php misconfiguration.
For nginx check the logs and also make sure you have a enough number of worker connections in nginx.conf file. Also check the number of worker process. Your maximum number of connections would be worker_processes * worker_connections, more than that nginx will reject new clients.
