Hey All, Well we've gotten over 30 RSVP's so far, it's going to be a decent sized crowd. For those attending (and those thinking about it) we have all the condiments you will hopefully desire; ketchup, mustard, relish, sour kraut, hot banana peppers and 3 varieties of BBQ sauce. We have pickles (sorry no kosher), tortilla chips & salsa and potato chips. We have disposable plates, cups, cutlery and napkins. We will have ice for the canned pop and to put your chosen beverage on.
Some of the things we have been told that folks are bringing are a bean salad and some vegetables. If anyone else would care to bring anything we would suggest some type of garden salad perhaps, some dip for the chips and anything dessert-like. FYI, Safeway has their own line of Oreo rip-offs called Tuxedo's, featuring a penguin as a mascot. We almost picked some of those up. Just an idea. No baked goods will be turned away. Kari and I will most likely have a few hot dogs and buns to spare if you're not sure whether you will be hungry or not. We will also have spare hamburger buns if required. If you are so inclined you could also bring a small bundle of fire wood for our fire pit. Revy sells them for under $3 if you want to contribute to the cause. You may want to bring some patience as I suspect that there will be some waiting for the food. I would ask that anyone willing to donate some of their time to cooking please indicate your intentions upon arrival. I don't know if it is necessary but I will mention it nonetheless. Kari and I have offered you our home and all the supplies we have provided are out of our own pockets, no expense to CLUG whatsoever. It is in the Spirit of Open Source that we have done this for the Group. I would like to commend those who have offered to bring things also. Lastly, I have not posted my address as I would rather not have it out there in the wide world. Yes, I realize it's a fruitless endeavor to try and stop but I would ask that those of you who I have replied back to off-list, not give out my address. I have asked that if you do plan to attend to RSVP me so I can give my address to you. I hope this doesn't discourage any of you. Again I must apologize for being verbose.
