A good electrical spike would do wonders but it would also damage stuff
you probably want to keep. 

Have you tried using "rpm -e"?

If you installed the kde3 rpms some of the stuff would be replaced
already. If you installed the source with out using RPMs, well i
wouldn't attempt to takeout the kde2 rpms...You would probably remove
files that need to remain....
