Hi All Need some help getting my head around this. I want to set up Our offfice network using LTSP. One workstation to be set up in Montreal. Another network to be set up locally for general access to the internet. Assuming I can get a connection (from Shawcable) that gives me one fixed IP plus floating IPs.
How should I set up whatever routers I need to give me a purely internal network with VPN acccess to Montreal office plus a seperate internet access network which cannot talk to the internal network at all ? Can you configure LTSP so that a workstation can boot up over a VPN? This one confuses me greatly as from what I understand the thin client needs to first find its IP address from the server but the VPN needs to know the IP address range of the network it is serving. I am currently using Smoothwall GPL for firewall duties and VPN (very simple even for tyro like me) I apologize if this seems bizarre request, I dont know enough about the subject to know exactly what to ask or even if my plans are reasonable or even possible.
