Well, it might be an interesting project but MS and SAIT signed an exclusive agreement a couple of years ago. As such a lot of the labs will have MS Office and stuff installed. I remember when I was there they were still running Novell but I believe they had already started the transition to a Windows NT network. > Share a Windows machine in a LAB... multi-boot... NFS host and VMware... I would recommend against using VMware. It will cost to much. I know in our CNT lab we just had dual boot systems. Remember MS has given SAIT a very good deal on Windows licenses so they won't be as concerned with the Windows Tax as a private company will. If I were you I wouldn't worry about suggesting Desktop operating systems but talk about using Samba fileservers. Using older servers that won't run Windows 2K well, as Linux webservers or fileservers. >I'd like to see their budjet for computers there also. That I won't ever >see either. They have a pretty good budget as far as I remember. The instructors had no problem ordering high-end systems for workstation and such. >I have yet to read the fine print of MS EUA's, of which I am not allowed >to see SAIT's EUA. An EUA is a contract, so this is understandable. I fail >to see how myself, as a student, are supposed to obey portions of the EUA >if I am unable to read what I am agreeing to when I log on. >Maybe that is in school policy book... More research... Thing is, Windows >users don't care, they click accept, accept, accept, ok, ok, ok... >1:30am, sorry for bad grammar and spelling. My bad, its bed time. Well it's a special deal. They probably don't want the details to be public. -- Mark Lane Hard Data Ltd. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Telephone: 01-780-456-9771 FAX: 01-780-456-9772 11060 - 166 Avenue Edmonton, AB, Canada T5X 1Y3 http://www.harddata.com/ --> Ask me about our Affordable Alpha Systems! <--
