Depending on where you're using the box, why not just fire up Zone Alarm.

I'll harrass you whenever a service tries to connect to the internet.  So
you'll see what is trying to connect, as well as where it's trying to
connect to.  Additionally, You'll get a pretty good firewall (for Windows
anyway) for free out of the deal...
