I have never had any problems with PCMCIA Ethernet cards under Linux. I used a
SOHOWare card in my old laptop, and a Startech card in my new one. I have also
had good luck with Xircom cards. I did get a Linksys card working under Linux,
but I wouldn't recomend them because the cards are crap, and I have had problems
with them under multiple OSes.
