Did you setup a DNS server on your local machine?  If you did then you can't use
"shawmail" for the mail server.  You need to use shawmail.cg.shawcable.net in this
case because if your using a local DNS server "shawmail" won't mean anything to it.
 It's just an alias that Shaw has setup, it will only resolve if you use their DNS
servers.
