Yeah Diego borrowed it from L&M for two weeks. The way they distribute it is on their own Linux distro that you install and use their proprietary software and driver. My first mission tonight is to get it working in SuSE, my next mission is to write my own driver/software for the unit cause theirs looks ass shitty. Reading the forums it seems they gave some idiot a free unit for figuring out how to loop back mount an image and copy the software to his debian box, but he ran into some driver problems, the free unit was cause he needed one to get it working properly for the others; the idio part was cause he obviously had no understanding on how the kernel handles devices. So, I'm gonna see what I can do with it in the next two weeks (Diego has to give it back after that), then try to get them to give me a free unit in exchange for fixing stuff for them (I won't get into to it now, but I had a good laugh last night when I saw how they did certain things....they don't seem to know what they are doing). If they don't give me one I guess I'll have to drop the $1000 myself, oh well. Could make for a more entertaining presentation in the new year...I'll promise to bring a laptop with vga out ;-)
