If not then maybe changing the CLUG mailing list manager to something different that has this feature would be better, then we could just link to it from the webpage. I removed a lot of the links on the sidebar and changed it to a drop-down list to save space. Which one is better, drop-down or links? > challenges: > > o the colours. they should go with our logo. of course, that's probably > a > trivial detail. > o should have our official logo up there > o membership: this should be tied into the CLUG membership and voting > system. > having an account for our website and a seperate one for our voting and > a ..... it's all a little much =) i'd like to see our mailing list tied > into our membership list as well, but that's a seperate topic. > Colours should be easy, postnuke is completely themable, although I lack the skill for this part. Will take care of logo in a bit :) I fooled around with groups and permissions on the site and what I have come up with is this: The user registers for an account on the CLUG site, gets put into the default "user" group. The ones that are tier one get put into a "tier 1" group and the ones that are tier two get put into a "tier 2" group as well. The user group and unregistered will not get to even see the online poll. Tier 1 will get to see it but not be able to vote or comment on it. Tier 2 will get see, vote and comment on the poll. As for the mailing list part I'll have to do some thinking, or maybe someone else can suggest something? Thanks for the feedback :)
