ok, here's where i play Mr Moderator: this thread is over.
everyone has spoken their mind and now it's devolving into flames. for those
looking for consensus, it's been had. if you are having a hard time figuring
it out, here it is:
1) web forums are considered by many if not most on this list to be less
convenient than email. therefore this email list will not be replaced by a
web forum.
2) most are open to the concept of a web forum that supplements and/or works
seemlessly with this email list.
3) #2 is a moot point until a new website design is completed. once that is
done, then we can try out a web forum in conjunction to this mailling list.
anyone who has problems with any of this can take it up off-list. thank you.
