Thanks guys. Someone from nvidia caught my misstake. Was running at 1800x1440 15bit. Changed it to 16bit and all is GRAND. glxgears gives me around 1700fps at default size, and still over 90 fps at 1800x1440. Someone also mentioned some crashes/locks with these new drivers so I will just have to leave it on with a gl screen saver to see how it behaves.
