Hi all,
I think much of the recent discussion has highlighted the need for more
informal workshops? Further we need to put together a fast'n dirty nube
howto with an emphasis on helping the very poorly prepared Legacy
windows users make a smoother transition to GNU/Linux. I agree with
Jesse that many Linux distros are less painful to install than Legacy
windows "os". This of course only applies if you are not interested in
resizing a Legacy windows xp ntfs partition for a dual boot setup.
Rather than recommending x. y. or z and saying have at it over and over
again without end we could point nubes to the howto and invite them to
frequent workshops to get them going.
Anywho, if anybody else wan'ts to chew on this feel free...
Thanx, Dan
Oh and by the way, I have begun work with KDE-3.1rc5 for HeadRat-8.0, I
have some crude shells that will leech and build the new K from src auto
magic for HeadRat-8.0. If anybody would like to help it evolve beyond
cruft let me know.
Thanx again, Dan
