I think this isn't a Linux thing. Me thinks you should phone your ISP and find out the exact term for mail.tellus.com or smtp.tellus.com or which. Not all ISP's are simply either smtp.yourisp.com and pop.yourisp.com. Mine is one in fact that threw me for about a 2 minute loop when I first hooked up because I thought I knew it all again. But only a 2 minute loop. Once I pointed my SENDMAIL and RECEIVEMAIL servers in line, boom, done.
