Hello Aaron, I right clicked on your email address in the message and all it did was to put a little dotted box around your address. I then left clicked on your email address and it started a reply to you without a quote.
So it looks like I will have to upgrade. The reason I am leaving my upgrade to mandrake 9.0 for three months is that my brother, who is somewhat of a linux expert will probably be here to coach me through the install process. I will bring up the question of a caddy for hard drives for linux and windows with my brother and nephew. But I would rather have a dual boot to wean myself from windows and get into the real meat and potatoes of linux, pardon the cliche. I still would like to get a copy of linux 8.2 to do a little tweeking line add a spell checker and select vi as an external editor. I looked into the properties of kmail and an external editor is possible. If using vi is incompatible with a spell checker, I might just opt for using vi and rely on my usual good spelling and let my spelling errors betray my ignorance. I am still having a terrific time having fun with linux. As soon as I can get to nexis I will get that great little linux command reference book you showed us so that I can have fun at the command line level If I get used to searching for what I want in command line mode, I may be able to tweak my system to do some of the things I can not do now.
