Just a few thoughts to throw out there... We had hoped to get 'Revolution
OS' for Convergence last year. It is something that we keep bantering about
the mailing list. This could serve us in two capacities. If we bought our
own copy we could possibly swing permission to screen it at Convergence as
well as a CLUG meeting. They said that we could get the 35mm film print to
roll at the show last year but we couldn't get a projector for such a thing.
I don't even want to hazard a guess at how much that would have cost

Thats a great idea, even if we just mpeg it and play it back on a workstation. I wonder if we could show the 35mm at SAIT in the Morpheus Theater... hmmmmm

We would need to find out from the folks at the Roundup Centre what kind of
AV gear we have access too. Are you in touch with them? We will also need to
see what power is going to cost to the booth, booth location, etc.

I will check before the meeting.

We tried to go in with CUUG and/or Nexus but neither happened. Too hard to
coordinate our own showing nevermind trying to do it with another group as
well. We kinda set ourselves up for a fall with that one.

We have more money to throw at this one potentially, assuming we can get
Executive approval and possibly vote by membership. We're well over a grand
now in our Treasury.

Speaking of money... are you renewing your Tier Two membership? I got 5
renewals already. Very encouraging.

asap for renewal, I'll pay up when you come this weekend.

One other thing is we almost had ESR or Stallman come and speak. I don't
remember who it was now. We should look at possibly getting a heavy hitter.
Any thoughts as to the theme this year? Is this what you are aiming your
HeadRat at?

We have a number of our own folks that would do just fine. Insofar as ESR, Stallman or the like, usually these guys like to have their expenses covered don't they?
