Hey Gang, I had recently done a SuSE 8.1 install at work to replace my Mandrake 8.2. During the setup I was pleased to note that my graphics adapter was supported. The pleasure was short lived as I found that it would not utilize my second monitor.
I decided to do some digging yesterday. Matrox has very good Linux driver support. I replaced the driver, made some edits to my XFree86 file and rebooted to a very nice (albeit stretched) two screen layout that I had only been able to do under Windows. The only drag is that I could not get their PowerDesk software to run. It's doubtful that I will be making changes but it would have been nice to have. Anyway, I wanted to share that. The docs that came with the driver and the PowerDesk app had all the settings I needed except turning Xinerama on. -- Jarrod Major Registered Linux User: #224211
