I am in the process of updating my MySQL server binaries to the 3.23.55 max so I can
take advantage of all the goodies like row level locking, transactions, foreign key
constraints etc, but I am not sure what's going on since I can run

ALTER TABLE mytable TYPE = InnoDB;

just fine, and no errors, but the table still shows up as MyISAM?

I am just starting to google around for info but thought someone here has a quick
solution.
