I have been on a quest for the past few years checking out various news aggregation tools to simplify keeping current with tech, linux and open-source news. I have tried and still use

Over 5000 feeds and just slicker than crap through a goose (other than not much security or control to prevent modifications to the choosen channels) Install is a no brainer, install the perl Bundle::LWP module, untar and ./AmpehtaDesk.pl and load http://127.0.0.1:8888/index.html and Bobs your uncle. You can also make it available to the world... http://bniw426cy314i.ab.hsia.telus.net:8888/index.html Just thought someone else would be interested in this since I know how hard it is to keep up with tech/linux/os news.
