Well apart from getting your burner seen by the OS. The programs I like the most are
Eroaster (search for it on sf.net) which worked really well until RH 8.0 was installed.
There are incompatibilities with a library they upgraded and the program.

If you have KDE on your system then I suggest K3B. Works great once you learn where to tell it to find your burner.

Both those programs seem to be much easier to use and more user friendly then the XCdroast or its counterparts.
