So, my guess is the Enigmail has a problem with cleartext signed email.

After a couple of more tests, I've found out that 1) Enigmail supports pgp-inline and pgp-mime, and 2) it seems pgp-inline support needs some work (I've even tried it on an Enigmail signed email (Jeff Smith's) and was using pgp/inline and it still bombed).
