Just a note to everyone, IPcop is trying to track
down a suspected memory leak.
They suspect it to be either in Squid or
Snort.
Obviously, it can have a serious affect on smaller
machines. Several people on the newsgroup running IPcop on a 486 w/16 Megs
RAM are finding they need to reboot about twice a week. My box has been up
for a while now, and there have been no problems, but I have alot of
RAM.
Just a heads up. Keep an eye on it if you're
using IPcop in production. Alternately, if you have a box that has been
running for a few weeks, take a look and see if you can see anything
abnormal. If so, I'm sure they'd appreciate it if you could forward it to
their mailing list.
