As most of you know we are holding a our first Annual General Meeting next 
month. At that time the current Executive Board (including yours truly) will 
be vacating their respective positions. We will have an election for a new 
Executive Board to take the reins for the remainder of 2003 and into Q1 of 
2004. We will have more details on the logistics of the election as we get 
closer to the date. If you are a Tier Two member, please be prepared to 
attend that meeting in order to cast your vote. We will contact each of you 
in turn before March 5th.

We (the Executive Board) are accepting nominations for the following 
positions:

President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Events Coordinator

Here is a breakdown of the duties and responsibilities of each position:

President

The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Guild. He/She shall 
chair all meetings of the Members� Guild and of the Executive Board. He/She 
shall supervise the implementation of resolutions by the Board. The President 
shall be responsible for calling no less than one Executive Board meeting per 
quarter or as many meetings as deemed necessary. 

Vice-President

The Vice-President shall act in capacity of the President in the absence of 
the President. 

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall have the custody of the funds and securities of the Guild, 
shall keep full and accurate accounts of all assets, liabilities, receipts 
and disbursements of the Guild. The Treasurer shall supervise all of the 
Guild�s monetary transactions in accordance with policies and directions made 
by the Board. The Treasurer will also ensure that any necessary auditing or 
review of the Guild finances, as required by law or requested by the Board, 
be carried out appropriately.

Secretary

The Secretary shall have the custody of all legal documents and contracts 
pertaining to the Guild. The Secretary shall ensure that all meetings are 
held in according to requirements of law and policies set by the Board, as 
well as maintain records of Board meetings (including taking minutes) and 
votes held at such meetings. The Secretary shall also supervise all of the 
legal services retained by the Guild.

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator shall oversee all planning and preparation of any CLUG 
event outside of regular general meetings, Annual General Meetings, and Board 
Meetings. This person will make arrangements with hosting organizations 
pertaining to the event in question.

All nominations should be for a Tier Two member in good standing. If that 
person is not a Tier Two member they are not eligible for candidacy in the 
upcoming election. We will accept self-nomination so don't feel like you need 
an advocate on your behalf.
