Good day all,

Can someone advise me regarding the best fonts I 'must' use when creating
documents in windows applications i.e. word, which later will be converted
to pdf using samba. I have done some googling and read tones of information,
and what I've gather from there is that the best ones are type1 or
PostScript fonts. I yet have to find specifics, examples of these fonts - I
will continue searching. I have also done some testing and found that the
fonts that are most accurately converted to PDF are the arials, and the
helveticas.

Does this means that I have to stick to these fonts only when creating
pdf's?. Are the arials and the helveticas type 1 fonts?

I have used Adobe's acrobat and it seems to do a pretty good job a
maintaining the accuracy of 'any' font I give it. The problem is that I
don't have $200.00 plus to purchase this product.

Any info will be greatly appreciated - I'm going back to googling... :-)

Thank you.

Rafael.
