Good Morning All, Last night I was playing with SME Server (The old E-Smith all in one small business server pacakge) and noticed it has a built in pptp option which sounded like fun. I would like to get my W2K machine at work to talk to it. Sounded easy enough. I enabled pptp on my SME box and turned add a pptp VPN connection in W2K, entered the hostname/user/password and pressed connect. But... It didn't work. It looks like it's wanting too. The lots on my SME box are showing the connection and starting pppd and assigning the remote side an IP but it just ends up timing out. I'm wondering if there is something obvious I am missing (like password encryption or auth scheme?). Anyways. The SME box is running: PopTop v1.1.3
If anyone has any idea what I should be looking for or where I might find documentation on using PopTop with W2K clients I would appreciate it. Thank you!
