Not that it's a good thing, but a runaway process
(ahem, my stupidity with cron) managed to get me to a load average of over
1000.
In hindsight, it's kinda funny.
But then, it does speak to the issue of
reliability... It ran like that for several hours before I figured out why
things seemed a bit slow...
For comparison, that would be a Windows box running
at 10000% utilization for several hours straight, and then being fixed by a
killall (which took about 10 minuites to run).
Anyways, we're back where we belong now...
less than .1 and fast approaching 0.00
I need a holiday...
