As the user you are logged in as type "xhost + localhost" and that will
allow the localhost to connect to the X Server.  In KDE you can also just
start the program using the "Run Command", which also lets you start the
app as another user.  Just start the "Run Command" through the Menu or use
<Alt><F2> and click on options to set the username/password to use.
