Protocol (VoIP) telecom products targeted to the small business market.
Aksys Networks has an exciting position available for the following position:
Intermediate to Senior Embedded Software Developer.
The overview of the job position is as follows:
* Provide strong leadership in overall system design and architecture.
* Integrate Linux open-source software on an embedded StrongARM microprocessor
platform. C/C++ is the development language.
* Implement system solutions using RPT, SIP, XML, SMTP and IMAP4 protocol technologies.
* Lead and mentor other team members.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field required
* Hands-on industry experience with embedded hardware projects.
* Demonstrated experience with Linux development environment.
(GNU toolset, kernel programming, multi-threaded applications...)
* Previous experience with various Internet TCP/IP protocols.
* Conversant with various telephony protocols
Personal Characteristics:
* Self starter with a proactive approach
* Strong ability to explore and understand new technologies
* Team player with good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to focus clearly on tasks and seek outside advice when needed
